War dialling is an effective method of modem detection, but can only detect those that could be accessed by inbound callers, and not modems set to make outbound calls or modems in constant use. These may be on the network for legitimate reasons but should be secured or removed, if necessary.

To fill these gaps in modem detection and telecoms network traffic analysis, Context uses the unique Enterprise Telephony Management system from voice security leader SecureLogix. This device is plugged in between the organisation's PBX and the telecoms carrier and left there to monitor inbound and outbound call activity for a set period, usually a week. Our use of ETM is the only exception to our product agnosticism - there is, as yet no other solution available for this task.

We also offer services designed to help organisations moving to a VoIP platform, including baselining of existing resources, which helps clients understand their current use of telephony resources, and a full set of security services designed to help secure VoIP networks.

Visit the telecoms security testing and VoIP networks testing pages for details of the security assessment services we provide for telecoms systems and networks.
